Birding

“There are those who think that all birds in large cities look the same. Probably, to unfamiliar eyes, we do as well. Our bodies move in unison as we converge in certain directions; we dress alike, we look toward the same place… Let us fix our gaze on what lies highest and, from there, try to understand. In truth, there is no need to go very far up. It is enough to position ourselves at certain points and, from there, to hover. To distance ourselves from what is too close to us and rediscover, from afar, what we are unable to see up close. How many times is the sky blue?”
